March for Science Miami Inc. is a nonpartisan advocacy group supporting public discovery, understanding, and distribution of scientific knowledge through communication, literacy and policy; services or funds help support our programs. At the start of 2017, in response to the political climate and defense of scientific principles, we spearheaded and organized the inaugural MFSMiami Rally/Expo with nearly 5000 attendees. We currently run our monthly roving Science Cafe, maintain the science activities calendar, organize events for future scientists, support sound evidence-based policies that affect our local area through community organizing and actions, and of course, we host the MFSMiami expo. If you would like to find out about sponsoring MFSMiami as an Enthusiast, email sponsors@sciencemarchmiami.org

communication

Publicly funded scientists must be free to openly communicate their research, data sets, and interpretations of their work. Public outreach, education, and accessibility of scientific knowledge should be encouraged. We believe open access to scientific results and scientific discoveries should be inclusive and accessible to all; regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion or lack thereof, political affiliation, or socioeconomic status.

literacy

A well-informed citizenry is essential to a free and successful society. We support initiatives to promote broad public knowledge and discussion of scientific work.

policy

Public policy should be guided by evidence-based scientific research, local scientific knowledge, and mainstream scientific consensus.
